why i ask??
i got a set of riken 15x7.5 mesh wheels and they have an offset jjx15 (just 15 i suppose)
they didnt fit my cousin's 86 supposedly, they said "looks like they fit but they dont"
originally came off a widebody fb rx7(1st generation rx7 the 4 lug verison not 5 lug)
did some research fb's are 4x114 like 86s so they should fit, im thinking they need wheels/and or extended wheel studs. what should i do?? spacers/extended studs/both??
thank u for your wisdom

offset will be a - or + number on the wheel spokes somewhere...if it was widebody it will be close but most low offset wheels will fit an 86, actually sounds like some nice wheels..... take out the lining you have to bang out the fenders, get the edge as thin as possible( take your time!!) grab the fenders in the front and pull outward, you can get a few 1/8 of clearance after that just take a hammer to whatever is still rubbing.

84-87 corollas are not 4x100
AE86 lug pattern is 4x114

all rear wheel drive corollas (71-87) are 4x114 lug pattern your confusing the fwd 4dr corollas in that year.
drifterx please do your research dont just post wrong imformation regardless where you got them from. sometimes taking a tape measure and finding out for yourself is way more accurate then pounding the keyboard for answers to a car you clearly know nothing about.
itsuki for offset of the wheel, if you have more then a 3 1/2 inch lip rim then it would be zero to negative offset for a 7 1/2 inch wheel. i could try to explain the process but i think it was coverd already in a post here on the forum. anyways this the easiest way to tell if you have a negative offset wheel.
ive seen 15x9.5 -25 on a corolla, with rolled fender and quarter panel, so you can get pretty aggressive with offset, so yeah 15x7.5 should fit with up to a -20 for most ametaurs hammering up the wheel wells.

guessin off the top of my head i think ithas like a 2 3/4 inch lip maybe 3
im fairly sure the 4x100 applys to the front wheel drives/4 door corollas

sounds close enough to zero look for a random # stamped on the inside of the wheel, prob no larger than 20 it may have a - next to it. Most wheels have them but once in awhile it will be blank and you'll have to do what Dmo said

I never said quote me or if i was propper nor did i notice they made front wheel drive models that early, so sorry if i came off wrong. Good point measuring would be the best way to find out and he never said how they didnt fit so i figured he had the wrong lug pattern, or if the wheels required tuner lugs since he might of needed longer wheel studs. Most low offset wheels i have ever owned required certain lugz... ill take the blame... anyways just to touch up on rolling fenders if the thats what your going to do, using a heat gun eases up the paint so you dont cause cracks we used this method rolling my fenders and found it easier to roll than in the past. be careful and good luck with that.

What year exactly is the RX7 it came off of? Depending on year and model of the SA22/FB, it might and might not work for the Corolla. GXL FB should have the same bolt pattern as the Corolla (114.3). The older year non GXL would have a weird pattern, which I think is either a 110 or just 114 IIRC.
